Courtney Love’s 2000 Golden Globes Gown: A Total Dog’s Dinner
Say what you like about Courtney Love, she’s never been one to play it safe. For the 2000 Golden Globes, the rock star turned up in a Christian Dior number from the "Haute Homeless" collection. It wasn't just a bit dodgy because of the name; it was also completely wrong for a posh black-tie do.
The top of the dress looked like it had been through a shredder, while the bottom half resembled a pub floor on New Year’s Day—full of soggy, limp streamers. It was also incredibly skimpy for such a formal bash, leaving her a hair’s breadth away from a proper wardrobe malfunction. Speaking to The Guardian years later, Courtney admitted it was a "miracle" she didn't pop out of it, especially since she hadn't even bothered with any boob tape.
To be fair, the dress did fit her like a glove and showed off her cracking legs, but that wasn't enough to save it. It’s gone down in history as one of the worst outfits to ever grace the red carpet.
